How Is Rent Increase Calculated?

In Turkey, residential and commercial rent increases are determined by the 12-month average of the Consumer Price Index (CPI) published by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK). At contract renewal, the previous year's 12-month CPI average change rate is applied to the current rent.

Our tool uses the official CPI data corresponding to your renewal or contract date to automatically compute the increase rate, the new rent, and the rent difference. PPI, annual change, and manual rate options are also available.

Legal Rent Increase Cap (25%)

Between 1 July 2023 and 1 July 2024, a 25% legal cap was applied to residential rent increases. If your selected period falls within this scope and the 5-year term has not expired, the calculator applies the cap automatically and notes it in the result.
